Hello all!

Well, you know how life is. I have been so busy, and I got sucked into Facebook, which I'm hating now but still update because I got sucked into it!

Things are great, plugging along, climbed out of my depressed state and now trying to take care of myself instead of everyone else BUT me. I'm about 90% ready for Christmas...you? Doing lots of baking....and lots of taste testing.

A friend of mine just had her sixth child....or should I say 6th girl...heavens, the PMS in that house in a few years! Six girls and all under 9. I salute her, but am glad it isn't me. I just need a puppy to baby...

Garret had his Christmas concert last nite, he was so handsome! My baby is growing up...and appears to be popular with the gals in his class by the sounds of it last nite, lol.

I should really have a nap. No really. I shoulda coulda woulda. But this stupid computer has come calling and I am the first to admit I'm an addict. My name is Shelley, and I have an addiction to the internet. Facebook. Blogger. Email. CNN. Crime Library. People online. Perez Hilton. Popsugar. It doesn't matter. Just made a new mix of music too. My day off and I spend the morning like I'm at work...on the computer. I suck. Beyond suck.

The kids did fabulous on their first day back to school. Had a great cup of tea and chat with my friend Barb after the kids went into the school. I made sure Garret gave me a big hug and kiss before he went off to school, because we all know he wouldn't do it in public. He has lots of kids from his primary and one class in his class this year, but not his best bud Brandon (Barb's son). He has Dylan his new chum from down the street in his class. Allison's daughter Claire is also in his class. And, of course, the irritable, annoying David who Garret says drives him out of his mind. How does one child tell another he doesn't want to play with him without hurting his feelings? At this point Garret needs to just tell him he doesn't want to play with him. I cannot express how this kid doesn't get the message. Sometimes personalities don't click. And he keeps coming back all the same. This is my fault for having a grooverific kid I guess.

Olivia has been bursting at the seams since Aug 1 wanting to go back to school. I told her to cool her jets and just chill. Enjoy her last few hours of summer vacation. She would not. My sitter was like, "I swear I didn't give her any chocolate...I swear!!!" Yesterday she and her best bud Aisha were beyond excited as they are in the same class for the 4th year in a row. And, she no doubt froze her toosh off in her wee little summer dress on this blustery fall day. But why would anyone listen to their mother? Imagine!

Now I go to eat some of that sinful carrot cake with cream cheese frosting...mmm...so good, so bad. Slurp!

It's been a while...

Hello all, it's been a while! I had gotten out of blogging for a bit and am now sick and tired of the Facebook racket, and am back to my blog. I hope all is well with you! We had a busy summer of activities. I finished the Learn to Run clinic and ran a 5K race in Lunenburg in June, we went to see the Tall Ships in Halifax, had fun in the backyard in the pool, etc. The weather wasn't the greatest this summer, but I am grateful for our time off and that we had the best two weeks of the summer as our vacation!! I took wallpaper off Olivia's wall and painted her room in some funky colours at the beginning of our vacation and I felt very proud of that project I did all by myself.

Dale and I just celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary on August 26, and today is my 34th birthday...whee! I will visit each of my blogger buds soon and hopefully I will keep up with my blog. School starts tomorrow...Liv is going in grade 3 and Garret in grade 2. Olivia has been keen to go back since August 1st I swear! Garret, not so much.

We have been soooo busy! But I need to post more. I am baaad.

I am so truly blessed by a wonderful family, and a part of that is my awesome son Garret. G-Man is 7 years old today. Arrived on April 19, 2000 weighing 8 lbs, 12 oz. What a gift he is! He is so considerate, kind, funny and full of mischief! You never know what he will say next! I simply cannot accept that my boy is growing up!

So here's to you my beloved son, we love you more than words can express and wish you a wonderful, fun-filled day!

No biking this weekend, toots....

Well, we got Olivia a new bike a couple of weeks back, and she didn't exactly get to ride it this Easter. We got 30+ cm of snow!!!! It felt more like Christmas, I was actually humming some carols. It sucked. The kids loved it though, but it's hard when I've got lovely plants started inside and then it snows a month and a half before I will be planting them. I think it won't last long though, the temperature today was much milder. Posted some pics for y'all ~ click on them to make larger...

My running class was Saturday morning; first one ~ one minute rotations of running/walking up to 20 mins combined. Pretty good but difficult at times. I did that again myself on Sunday and although my shins are sore, I worked up a good sweat and I am hoping I can do the 2 minute rotations on Saturday. Train all week I shall, young Jedi.

We're having family over on Saturday for a family birthday party for Garret, his Bday is the 19th and he'll be 7....SEVEN! What happened?!?! Where has the time gone?!?!

Oh I have been bad not updating this...I am now addicted to Facebook...my bad!

Olivia is fabulous. Had her tooth extracted and she got to keep the tooth. The tooth fairy read her heartfelt note telling of her desire to show the nasty little tooth to her friends. Eww the abscess was nasty. Nasty I say! She gets her spacer on the 11th and will post a little pic. I know you are dying to see that! LOL!

OK. I am not into American Idol this year. I was a Chris Daughtry fanatic last year and this year noone is worthy except Melinda, Jordin and Lakisha. Gina went home well before her time, as that hoochie Haley is still there and the creepy Sanjaya is still there. If America can't even vote for the right idol, how can they vote for the next president? I will pray for all my U.S. friends out there.....

My friend Andrea and I start our Learn to Run Clinic with The Running Room on Saturday morning. I walked 5K Monday pm after work and 5K again yesterday, but it ain't nothing compared to the first time run on Saturday. I'm a running virgin! I'm SKEERT!

Hope you all have a great Easter and I will visit each and every one of you next week...PROMISE! I'm not trying to be a snotter, really I'm not. I'm just too enjoying life.
